The Premarket Notification (PMN) and Substantial Equivalence (SE)

Medical devices fall into three classifications and it is classified by the risk it presents to the users. As the classification gets higher, the regulatory control it undergoes also increases. Companies engaged in the manufacture of medical devices may submit a Premarket Notification (PMN) or commonly known as 510(k) to inform the Food and Drug Administration that a medical device will be presented to the market. The PMN will serve as a proof that the medical device that the medical device has its Substantial Equivalence (SE) in the market it does not need any Premarket Approval. SE means that the device to be introduced is also as safe and effective with another medical device that is already found in the market. To prove that the medical device has its SE on the market, it must pass the following in comparison to a predicate:
- Has the same intended use as the predicate; and
- Have the same technological characteristics as the predicate.

Before hiring voice overs, you should consider the amount of experience that they have on the market, and how much previous work that they have done. While many may have amazing portfolios and seem to be able to get the job done, they may not have the professional attitude that you need to get the job done effectively. Always take your time to interview them and to get to know them before hiring them. This will ensure that both of you are on the same team, and will work towards the same goal. If you are interested in finding the perfect voice overs, look for those who have experience in what you are doing. You’ll find them to be a lot more accommodating.

Are you doing everything you can do make sure you are giving professional Auditions? there is nothing more important than presenting yourself in a professional manner when you go to audition. Actors need to remember that this is still a serous job, and casting directors and producers have a lot of pressure to make sure they pick the right person for the job. Be sure to dress appropriately, most important when choosing what you wear to your audition, is to make sure you look like the head-shot you will be leaving with the casting director.
Keep the clothing basic, you are there to show off your acting skills and dressing over the top can take attention away from your acting. Be sure that you are comfortable in what you decide to wear. When you arrive for your audition, you should be there at least 10-15 minutes early and have everything organized and ready for when you are called in for the audition.
